So, I created a personal website - how very old school. I have a lot of changing hobbies and projects, and though I rarely see anything through, I have often thought that it would be fun to document them. Also, I needed a new hobby.
Most of my hobbies have something to do with computers one way or another. If not, I’ll most likely find a way to include it. Professionally I work in IT with system administration, and I will try to share some of that knowledge as well. When I Google stuff at work, I’m always looking for blog posts, and if someday someone would stumple upon my website and find a solution to their problem, I would be so very proud.
Here’s an accumulated list of pages across all categories:
Failing at making a PCB with a CNCI don’t really like the breadboarding phase of electronic projects - that’s why I, in 2020, bought a GENMITSU 3018-PROVer. I chose this one because it had pretty good reviews for a tabletop 3018 CNC router in this price range, but I haven’t used it much. Definitely not to make PCB’s. But now was the time. Inno Setup: Repackaging GeneralsI have tried a few installer authoring tools by now, and I thought it would be fun to compare them by doing the same project with different packagers. At the same time I will show my workflow for repackaging installers, and although I chose a game for this project the process would be pretty much the same for a piece of software used in a an … |
Why and how I made this websiteAs mentioned on the homepage, my hobbies change frequently, and I always enjoy learning something new. Besides that, I was, and still am, worried that it will hold me back; that I … |
Video: Homemade Pizzas! As mentioned in a previous post, Video: A Friday Dinner!, I attended a YouTube course, during the COVID-19 lockdown, where the assignment was to make a video journal. This video was filmed the day after the last video, and this time I did the cooking. I have a friend who at that time experimented a whole lot to perfect his pizzas and ended up being … |
Wine Cork PinboardA friend of mine is really into wine and saw a similar project online. He asked me if we should make it, and I said “yup”. This is actually one of the more successful projects, so it’s a shame I didn’t document it better. The wood is teak, and we used brad nails to secure the miter joints during the glue up. The corks were … |
Video: A Friday Dinner!I’m part of a childrens/family organization that, during the COVID-19 lockdown, hosted an online YouTube and video making course. That fit me well because at that time, I was getting really into YouTube and video editing. We got some instruction, tips and tricks - and an assignment, which was to make a video journal about life during … |
